October is a beautiful month on the north coast. As the temperatures cool, the leaves begin to change, delighting us with a canopy of color everywhere we go. No where is this better seen then in the Cleveland Metroparks; a beautiful series of 16 natural preserve areas encompassing 22,000 acres which surround the Greater Cleveland area. There is no commercial development and little to no residential property.
We took a drive on Sunday afternoon through a section of the Metroparks on the west side of Cleveland (we all called it the 'valley' growing up, because you drop about 350 feet to enter the area). We stopped at a few of the parks to take in the views, and enjoy the crisp, clean fall air. Rocky River flows through this portion of the Metroparks, so as you walk about the trees and paths, the gentle sound of flowing water is always around you.
As you can see, we enjoyed the sights and sounds of our afternoon.
